2020/08/12: DF/Net has been involved in the City of Seattle’s Senior Farmers Market Nutritional Program (SFMNP) since 2014. The goal of SFMNP is to improve nutrition for lower income seniors. Eligible participants receive $40 vouchers to use at local participating farmers markets. The program benefits both seniors and farmers markets.
With COVID-19 restrictions in place, it was unclear whether the program would run this year. Fortunately, restrictions eased, and the City of Seattle was able to give the program the green light.
Year over year, the DF/Net Research team has been tasked with managing thousands of SFMNP paper applications. This year was no different. Program participants completed paper applications and mailed or faxed them to DF/Net. Our team then entered them into a database used to create program vouchers by the City of Seattle. The DF/Net team responsible for this project went above and beyond to ensure paper applications were processed with the added hurdle of COVID-19.
Congratulations to the City of Seattle for another successful year. Your hard work continues to help so many in our community.
