Patches

• 5.2.1 - patch release - 2019/12/11

Client-side

The 5.2.1 client-side patch resolves the following issues:

  1. When the server is changed and after starting the broadcast login request, disable keyboard entry until a response to the broadcast is received.
  2. A bug that could lead DFsetup to exit unexpectedly, after a new module is added and while reviewing setup changes, has been fixed.
  3. A bug in DFsetup that could allow the user to save inconsistent date field properties has been fixed.
  4. A bug in DFsetup's visitmap dialog that could allow the user to save invalid visit range information has been fixed.
  5. A bug that could lead DFsetup to exit unexpectedly due to an uncaught auto-save timer event has been fixed.
  6. The following updates have been applied to DFexplore:
    • While loading study info from the server, ignore clicks on the Image Router button. Also ignore force quit action on macOS (Cmd+Q).
    • Enable resizing of the Image Router subwindow and remember the size set by the user.

Server-side

dfdiscover-5.2-1_patch.tar (2.9 MB)

The 5.2.1 server-side patch resolves two issues:

  1. This change fixes a bug in DFexport.rpc that could result in values for fields 9 and 10, being exported if the exported record has missed record status, missing value substitution is enabled and field selection is specified.
  2. Two improvements have been made in the implementation of subject schedule:
    • For an in-study cycle with both baseline and pre-baseline visits, if the baseline visit has occurred but the pre-baseline visit has not, the pre-baseline visit must be identified as overdue.
    • If end-study cycle visits are set to be required by the conditional visit map and they are now overdue, they must be identified as overdue.
The correction is available as a server-side patch. The patch is released as a tar image that contains DFedcservice and DFexport.rpc only.
To install the patch:
  1. Download the tar image for the patch to /tmp. Then as super-user:
  2. # cd /opt/dfdiscover
  3. # tar xf /tmp/dfdiscover-5.2-1_patch.tar
  4. # /opt/dfdiscover/SETPERMS

The patch can be installed on a live system. After installation, restart the DFdiscover server.

DFws API Resources

The DFws API is available for customer application implementation.

Use of DFws requires:

  • a DFdiscover server that has the DFWS feature enabled in the license,
  • a unique set of DFWS credentials,
  • an optional DFws server.
