• A bug was fixed where the app skipped hidden fields in an activity even when the user’s role permission allowed hidden fields.
• A bug was fixed on date fields where an error message such as “Please enter your response in format DD/MMM/YYYY” could appear incorrectly for valid dates. This fix also corrected an issue where including Jan 30 or 31 in a date field’s legal range (e.g., 2024/01/31-today) would prevent the study from opening in DFengage.
• The History page has been updated to always sort completed activities with most recent activities listed first.
• A bug was fixed on iOS where opening the app from a notification card could take you to the login page instead of the PIN page, although you were already logged in.
• A bug was fixed where local data was not removed when the app was deleted and reinstalled if the local data had previously been backed up.

• The DFengage User Guide has been updated with improved navigation on mobile devices.

• DFengage has been rebuilt from the ground up to provide an enhanced study experience for participants. The look and feel of the app has been updated, including a new icon. The “task” and “questionnaire” terms used previously have been updated to “activity.”
• The app now includes three sections: Today (home page), History, and Settings, accessed from the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
• The Today screen has new section dividers for Overdue, Due Now, Upcoming, and Completed activities, providing a more comprehensive view of your activities for today.
• The Logout button has been moved to the Settings screen.
• When completing an activity in DFengage, you will see a few changes:
  • • You may see a warning message about responses you need to correct or verify before continuing to the next question.
    • When selecting a date response, you will see a new calendar widget.
    • When selecting a time response, you will see a new clock widget showing 24-hour time.
    • When providing a text response, below the input field you will now see the number of characters you have entered so far and the total number of characters you can enter.
    • Questions may have an “i” icon next to them, where you can see additional information about the question.
    • Click the “?” icon next to the activity name to see additional information about the activity provided by the research team.
    • Exiting an activity will save your responses to your device, so you can continue the activity later from the Today screen.

• DFengage now supports custom timing of tasks.
• Questionnaires will become available in the app at the time specified for your study, and you’ll receive a notification when a new task is available.
• Other updates have been added to make sure notifications are delivered on time.
