Patches
5.3.2 – patch release – 2020/11/20
Client-side
The 5.3.2 client-side patch resolves the following issues:
- File download hyperlinks, embedded in the custom HTML content provided by your DFdiscover server, now work correctly in the login dialog of desktop applications.
- A permissions checking bug which impacts the return result of dftrigger() when the subject ID is not the current subject ID has been resolved.
- DFsetup has been updated, fixing a bug, so that all available coding labels for choice fields are included for translation.
- In the event that the Import Definitions dialog is closed while waiting for the setup of the requested study, DFsetup now safely handles the server response.
- This change improves the performance of DFcollect in low bandwidth and/or high latency environments (update available via Google Play and App Store).
- The following updates have been applied to DFexplore:
- in Schedule View, when using the Save As Excel action, ensure that the fill color for ongoing, scheduled subjects is applied correctly.
- When choosing Save As PDF and the blank CRF book option, respect the Subject Alias preference, pre-printing either the numeric Subject ID or the Subject Alias, or a new option to not print any Subject identifier at all.
- When listing field or page history, permissions are enforced by the DF_SBhistory report, not DF_ATmods as shown.
- When using the Metadata panel and adding a second query to the same data field, prevent this second query from being dropped during a Refresh action.
- In List View, all matching data is now output when the Subject filter is used in combination with cross-plate criteria.
- In List View, ensure the Expression filter is always visible when toggling between the Plate, Module and Custom sub-panels.
- In Data View, the Unset Page Missed interaction has been simplified so that only one confirmation dialog is needed removed.
- In the metadata panel, now display field help as default.
Windows client tools
macOS client tools
Server-side
- Partial dates now display the original database values in Tabular Listing reports, replacing the previous placeholder ‘*’ character.
- The following fixes have been implemented in DFedcservice with regards to reports data:
- In Site Subject Status report, the subjects with overdue visit or missing page queries now correctly display as incomplete.
- In Tablular Listing reports, the correct results are presented when coded label is used as search criteria.
- A bug has been fixed in the handling of DFdiscover license updates in which licensed features have been reduced or removed.
- While importing definitions from another study in DFsetup, a differing lock state warning/error dialog may appear without any clear reason for the alert. This same issue can occur silently in DFmigrate – this has also been corrected.
- Download the tar image for the patch to /tmp. Then as super-user:
- # cd /opt/dfdiscover
- # tar xf /tmp/dfdiscover-5.3-2_patch.tar
- # /opt/dfdiscover/SETPERMS

Patches
5.1.4 – patch release – 2019/07/24
Client-side
This patch release resolves the following issues in the 5.1.0 client tools:
- The following issues in DFexplore have been corrected:
- In the DFopen_patient_binder() function, do not refresh the subject binder until all of the actions have been executed.
- If a field requires a (new) reason, and the reason is added using the metadata panel, the Add Reason dialog still appears when leaving the field. The dialog should not appear.
- In Data view, if Field > Revert is chosen or the Revert to Old Value button is clicked in the reason dialog, the data field becomes read-only. The read-write state should not change.
- If no legal range is defined and the field data value is reset to the No Choice or Not Checked value, the resolved Missing Value query is not updated. The query should be automatically un-resolved.
- To be compatible with the update to include user-defined properties in the next release, the data type for edit check symbols has been updated to 16-bit from 8-bit.
- Previous behavior in DFexplore with respect to the column headings used during data export has been restored, so that the field description is not used by default.
- An overflow condition that could cause DFbatch to lose contact with the study server has been corrected.
- The following issue in DFadmin has been corrected:
- The action of DFadmin when loading user/role/permissions has been sped up significantly by optimizing order of operations.
