With DFengage, DFdiscover’s dedicated ePRO application, you can collect data directly from study participants via smartphone, online or offline, and view the data in DFexplore, DFweb, and DFcollect as soon as it’s submitted. This user-friendly mobile app eliminates the need for phone visits and paper questionnaires, providing a modern approach to engage your participants.
New in DFengage
DFengage version 1.0.64 introduces support for custom timing for your study questionnaires, surveys, and eDiaries! You can now specify when participants receive notifications for a new ePRO task. This can be a different time for each questionnaire or a standard time for all tasks. Tasks will become available for participants to complete at the time you define.
Questionnaire Timing
In this new release, the default timing for questionnaires will change. Previously, questionnaires would become available in the app at 12am on the day they were due, and a notification was sent at 8am if the questionnaire remained incomplete. In the updated version, the questionnaire will become available simultaneously as the notification is sent, at 8am, unless configured otherwise. This change ensures questionnaires are only available to study participants as required by the study protocol.

Android Devices
For participants using Android devices, they will be prompted to allow background running when they first open the app. This setting ensures DFengage notifications are sent on time, irrespective of whether the device is in low battery mode or offline.
Access to DFengage
DFengage version 1.0.64 will soon be available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This version is compatible with DFdiscover 2019 version 5.2.0 or later. The updated DFengage User Guide is available on our website.
